7M3 Guitar Tabs - RockCrown - Oven (version 2)
'OVEN' (version 2)
SEVEN MARY THREE from the album "ROCKCROWN"
Transcribed by Jason Leonard
* Thanks to Jason Ross for the key to tune to *
This version is how Jason Ross said to tune the strings. Instead of using
the basic E-A-D-G-B-E, he said use D-A-D-A-A-D.
This allows for chords that ring out a lot. Also makes it real easy to
play this song.
I suggest getting a tuner that contains all ntoes, sharps & flats.

* Quick note about D2-chord. While the guitar is strumming the D-chord, you
can hear an extra note being played. I play this by using the 4th fret on
the 3rd-to-lowest string which is a D-string. Listen to the song to get a
feel for it.
Intro: 0:00- 0:18
* The intro is played using the D-chord & switching to the D2-chord. This
just involves changing 1 note. Listen to the album closely. Also, use
the D2-chord when picking up. For example @ around 0:05. *
Verse: 0:19- 1:16
Continue same rhythm as intro.
D/D2
Get down and pray to the oven
She thinks that God is there, in there
Do you see Sylvia in the oven?
G
Colossal fact, Daddy’s ex don’t let you read.
D/D2
Here’s what she sees.
Verse: 1:17- 1:58
D/D2
In the end her only friend, keeps herself wide open
looks into a higher ground
What did husband say was found?
G
She found - a daughter going on with her life
D/D2
I can’t juggle this
I can’t juggle this
I can’t juggle this
When it slips she says:
Chorus: 1:59- 2:14
E F# G
This Kansas wheat won’t break me
B A
and another drink won’t take me
E F# G
I can make it if you can
D/D2
Verse: 2:15- 3:19
D/D2
Strip it down wide open still
Was your head caught in that pill?
Was your life one big regret?
The smartest man she ever met
G
was not buried or put up on a cross
D/D2
And she thinks it’s over, still
if that light won’t go on
There’s no hope in life at all
if the oven won’t burn
Chorus: 3:20- 3:57
E F# G
This Kansas wheat won’t break me
B A
and another drink won’t take me
E F# G D/D2
I can make it if you can
E F# G
This Kansas wheat won’t break us
B A
and another drink won’t make us free
E F# G
The ovens wide open
3:58- end
D/D2
Hold your breath and see
Hold your breath and see
* Keep using D & D2 until end.
