"Think"  by Medeski Martin and Wood
Album: Shackman
Transcribed by Josh Lange.

This is my own interpretation of the song, and should not be considered
absolutely correct, although it sounds pretty damn good.

The song is broken into three basic sections, all of which demand a
certain amount of improv, so your execution should emulate that. Also,
this is the organ part transcribed to guitar, so use any effects or
tecniques you can to be organlike.

Intro: Drums and some "chankety-chank" wah-ish rhythms.
      (4 bars)

Part 1:Organ melody w/bass & drums behind

A7
----------------8--9---------------------------------------------8--10---------
------------------------------------8--9---------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
(2x)

D7
------------------13--14-------------------------------------------13--15------
-----------------------------------13--14--------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(2x)

Play A7 part 2x again-

Part 2: Sustained chords, 1 bar each, with rhythm.

C7  B7  Bb7  A7  F7  E7

Punch a high A7 and slide down to a stop.

Part 3:Short drum and chank like intro, then improv lead
over an Eb7 for a while.

Play part 2 again, only now punch and slide the C7, B7, Bb7, and A7
TWICE; and then sustain the F7 and E7 for two bars each, punching the A7
once again at the end.
Play the intro and all of parts 1 and 2 again, ending on the high A7
punch and slide.

This a great song, and a fine example of MMW's eclectic nature AND great
concept of flow. If you know the song, then you know that it takes a
great rhytm section to do it justice. This file should at least give you
enough to allude to it, depending on your experience, or have fun playing
along with the disc. Good luck, and I hope I have explained myself
properly. If this seriously offends anyone or if you have any revisions,
