Beastie Boys draft stars for "Vote" tour

 Reuters - The Beastie Boys have drafted Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper to join them on the Get Out and Vote tour, which will begin October 28 in Richmond, Va. Shows are also set for November 1 in St. Paul, Minn., and November 2 in Milwaukee.
Metallica drummer to sell Basquiat painting in NYC

 AP - Lars Ulrich, songwriter and drummer for the heavy-metal band Metallica, is selling a Jean-Michel Basquiat painting from his art collection that could set a new auction record for the artist, Christie's said Friday.
Dell expands music tie-ins on festival circuit

 Reuters - At the Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival in Texas at the end of September, sandwiched between a stage and a small recycling center stood a white dome decorated with colorful cloud patterns. Inside the air-conditioned structure, visitors could get customized T-shirts, temporary tattoos and a mixtape of songs by artists performing at the festival.
